We recently made over Ji’s room. I am 33 weeks pregnant, so I wanted the make-over to be as easy and fast as possible. With the help of my husband, my wishes came true. We decided on a make-over for two reasons: 1: We know we are having a second girl, so there was no reason for the room to remain gender neutral and 2: I’m nesting so I needed the room to look perfect before the arrival of baby numero dos. We decided to do three things and nothing more to change the room.

Three Easy Steps to Make Over A Kids Room

Change the paint color! We had a mint color in our second room that was originally supposed to be my home office. It’s a little girls room now, so we needed a new, girly color. A fresh coat of blush pink paint and the room looks brighter and even a bit bigger than before!

Add a beautiful rug!  I love how a beautiful rug can change the look and feel of a room. As you can see, I like our house to look (trust me, it just looks) clutter free. Personalize! We didn’t set aside extra cash for the make over, but we didn’t really need a big budget. I used pieces from recent special occasions as decoration and statement pieces to personalize the room.

I just love how three simple changes made over my little girls room. She is so excited to have a pink room and I’m happy that it took just one day to finish it all!
