Last night my family and I had the opportunity to check out iLUMINOUS by Circus Vargas and let me tell you! We had so much fun! iLUMINOUS is a new, high-energy extravaganza that illuminates the wonder and imagination of every child at heart. It was especially special to me because the very first circus show I attended when I was a kid was by Circus Vargas, so it was nice to share the memory with my daughter and niece.
Our party consisted of my husband, myself, my two-year-old daughter, my three-year-old niece and my mom. Each of us had our favorite acts. I personally loved the luminous athletic bouncers on the trampoline wall because it made me feel like I was in Vegas for the night. I know that my mom loved the brother-sister roller skating daredevils because the act took you back in time through fun music.

The show is packed with lots of fun and laughs. A lot of laughs! It’s about 2 hours long with a short intermission in between.
Here a few tips to make your trip to see iLUMINOUS a success:
- Use special code MOM5 for $5 off each Child and Adult ticket in the Arena and Bleacher sections. Offer available online only and can be used for any performance through June 13.
- Bring Cash for Parking. We paid $10 at the Burbank Location
- Kids 2 and under to not need a ticket
- The free pre-show starts about 45 minutes before the show. Your kids will have the opportunity to join the circus!
- They have lots of snacks (nachos, popcorn, hotdogs, shaved iced and cotton candy) If that’s not your thing there are plenty of restaurants across the freeway. Just a 2-minute drive away.
- Stay for a post-show meet and greet with the stars

My Best Memory of the Circus was 2yrs ago when I took my children (Emily age 9 and Erick age 2) to the show for the first time. Grandma also attended. I as a mom was filled with joy to see my children so happy but as I turn and look at my mom I see the Joy the love the EXCITEMENT in her eyes. It was not only my kids first time but my moms also. It was amazing.

What a beautiful memory! My mom hadn’t been in like 25 years ( I guess she only went once in her life) so I felt like she was a kid going for the first time too.

The last time I was at the circus was as a 7 or 8 year old. Although the memory is a bit of a blur I loved the fact that we were enjoying something as a family and how everything looked huge to little me. I want my son to experience the same soon!

My very first and only circus visit was also Circus Vargas when I was like 9 years old. I don’t remember it at all, but this one looks so fun!

My favorite memory of the circus was when the circus was in our rancho in Nayarit, Mexico! I remember being able to pay the entrance for all of my primos and primas! Just being able to go in to the Circo was memorable for them. I think if I wasn’t there visiting, they would have never been able to ever go. They had sooo much fun and I even got them light up swords and crowns for them to wear. Everything was on me. La Prima del Norte!

My favorite memory of the circus was when the circus was in our rancho in Nayarit, Mexico. I remember being able to take all my little primos and primas to it. Out of all the years that the circus went to the rancho, they had never been. The excitement and fun they had was priceless. My Tia’s said that if it want for me and my family, they probably would have never gone. I got the boys light up swords and the girls, light up crowns. They all remember til this day. La Prima del Norte 🙂
