I went out for a drink today, and because it is Mexican Independence Day, I decided to try a Mexican style drink. I ordered a cucumber martini, and it was delish! I thought it was so good that I came home and made a small batch to share with the hubby. He loved it too!
Gather:
- 1 tsp water
-
1 tsp sugar
- 4 limes (squeezed)
- Salt
- Tajin (or favorite chili powder)
- 1 chilled cucumber ( thinly sliced)
- water
- 1 shot of vodka
- ice
How to:
Mix the water and sugar and boil in low heat. Let it simmer for a few moments while the sugar dissolves. Let it cool.
Put the chili/salt mix on a small bowl. In a separate bowl squeeze the limes. You will dip your martini glass on the lime juice and wet the rim and then repeat on the chili/salt mix. Set aside
Bring out your blend and mix the syrup, cucumbers, water and extra lime juice until smooth. Add a shot of vodka and shake. Pour into martini glass and enjoy!
